My concentration is influenced by the impact of the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. I want to portray the movement the artist at the pop festival caused. They were pushing the boundaries and showing the youth of the world a new type of sound. Each piece expresses the feelings the songs give me and the feelings they gave the time of the late 1960's.
As we discussed in class, this has the potential to be a very interesting piece. What else can you do to develop it further beyond what you did when you originally created this two years ago?
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite thing youve done. When you photograph it I would change your lighting so you really see what the flowers are. I would give them a little more dimension and digitally tone down the background a little. While the background is very interesting and visually pleasing we dont want it to take away from what were looking at. You could incorporate your canvas (aka the book bindings) by turning this into a book cover! Come up with a creative title and Insert it in funky text on the bottom of the piece. Then you could even write "Author: Molly Nifong" I think the judges would like to see art that is practical in the everyday setting. Turn your art into something you would make with an art degree and a paying job.
