My concentration is influenced by the impact of the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. I want to portray the movement the artist at the pop festival caused. They were pushing the boundaries and showing the youth of the world a new type of sound. Each piece expresses the feelings the songs give me and the feelings they gave the time of the late 1960's.
Watch your background and make sure the shadow isnt stronger than your ladder. I think the farthest right leg looks a little thin, what else could you do inside the boundaries of monochromatic scheme to make it more interesting? Maybe cut the shadow and ladder out as two separate pieces and use a sponge or salt to texturize them separately and then join them back together on a new background.
Good start but I would like to see this developed beyond the basic assignment that we completed last year in the honor course. The AP judges will want to see a personal voice in your work. What is it that you have to say, where is your investigation, and what is your working style to make this project unique? More time needs to be invested!
