My concentration is influenced by the impact of the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. I want to portray the movement the artist at the pop festival caused. They were pushing the boundaries and showing the youth of the world a new type of sound. Each piece expresses the feelings the songs give me and the feelings they gave the time of the late 1960's.
This is a good design and is interesting but I would still want to see a greater investigation into mark-making for the drawing portfolio. How can you continue to develop this artwork?
This is really cool Molly! One of your stronger pieces for sure. Maybe come back in with a finer black sharpie and bring designs out from the black outlines. Mixed media is your strength; you should experiment with it more often!
Also well done preparing your surface, not sure if im the only one that noticed but I like the gradation of light outwards on the page. Well done!
