My concentration is influenced by the impact of the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. I want to portray the movement the artist at the pop festival caused. They were pushing the boundaries and showing the youth of the world a new type of sound. Each piece expresses the feelings the songs give me and the feelings they gave the time of the late 1960's.

#4 Janis Joplin
I need to reshoot it with a blank background because the wood really takes away from the texture and color.
Much better! This is more expressive and demonstrates more about sound than previous works. I would eliminate the words, move the photo down and focus on shape. How can you use shape to convey the gut-wrenching, soulful music of Janis Joplin? What color and texture would you add to that shape?
I really think there's a great sense of energy and movement here! Personally I think you could do even more with layering to give it even more of an "oomph" but still what you have now is wonderful as well.
I really like this one molly. I like the idea of going off the page... it says a lot about the music youre describing. I think you could maybe develope the owrds in the brown part, it would have more of a message. good job!
