My concentration is influenced by the impact of the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. I want to portray the movement the artist at the pop festival caused. They were pushing the boundaries and showing the youth of the world a new type of sound. Each piece expresses the feelings the songs give me and the feelings they gave the time of the late 1960's.
Molly I think you should get a large canvas for your next piece. I'm talking like 4 feet tall. You have so much expression in your work Id like to see what you could do on a large scale. I also think you should look into medium manipulation. Maybe mix your paint in a spray bottle, or use chalk on a giant chalk board and then seal it. I think your concentration lends itself to letting go and doing something out there.
ReplyDeleteYES what Ryan said, let loose and try everything. Jackson Pollock if you look at his pieces up close he just has like nails and keys and a whole bunch of random objects. Maybe on a huge canvas like break drum sticks. OR even find a drum that's kinda destroyed and paint or citra-solve on top of it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the above comments! This is a big improvement but you can still do more! Everyone wants to see you really go for it, invest the time, and create a work of art that is energetic and enthusiastic!
