My concentration is influenced by the impact of the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. I want to portray the movement the artist at the pop festival caused. They were pushing the boundaries and showing the youth of the world a new type of sound. Each piece expresses the feelings the songs give me and the feelings they gave the time of the late 1960's.
Good start to this painting! It has a great textural feel to it and you handled the mark-making and color beautifully? I am not quite sure how it fits into your concentration so perhaps you could add a comment to your blog that explains it or your continued work on it more fully?
